Originally from Boulder, CO, Amy Wang is a Mixed Media Artist currently practicing in Brooklyn, NY. In 2019, they received a BFA from the University of Washington-Seattle. Their work is a narrative deconstruction and redefinition of racial identity and gender. Their recent work explores the anchors that pull marginalized people into communities and the symbolic culture of racial diaspora. Their work primarily utilizes glass, print, and found object. Their online project “little bits everyday” aims to provide insight for non-artists into the art industry and bridge the social gap between art and design.
